This video was originally intended to teach about making eye contact with the camera. I considered not even posting it because my hair is a bit disheveled and it distracts from the original message. So this video has two purposes – It shows the importance of making an authentic connection with the camera AND demonstrates the importance of having someone on the set to watch for things that could distract from your message, like disheveled hair, makeup that’s too strong, shiny forehead, distracting patterns in your clothes, etc. Your image on camera can be refined and cultivated serving as a powerful competitive advantage.
I studied everything about being on-camera to promote myself as a successful on-camera Commercial Talent, TV Host, and Presenter. I studied with top experts in the media. I further developed these on-camera skills as a Video Producer coaching and directing business professionals on how to make a connection with the camera, and to come across the lens as Confident, Knowledgeable, and Likable. I developed soundbites and message content for corporate videos and presentations. I became an expert in media training.
